Adam Palmer runs his Premier Sport business in Castleford

19th February 2016

Adam Palmer has achieved great success with his Premier Sport business and can easily demonstrate his passion for getting children active.

Adam’s home town is Paighton in Devon and has recently moved to Yorkshire so that he can launch his Premier Sport franchise in the Castleford territory. It is evident that Adam is an ambitious individual as he has achieved great success to date and can easily demonstrate his passion for getting children active.

Premier Sport - Adam PalmerSport and physical activity have always been present in Adam’s life. He was a member of the Great Britain Judo squad and was selected out of a small number of elite athletes to attend an intensive training camp in Japan for six weeks.

Adam’s judo talent has enabled him to undertake the role of Talent Development Programme Ambassador in the South West. This role involved going into primary schools and introducing children to Judo and other activities and overseeing performance days. His practical knowledge is backed up by his academic success.

Adam also has a foundation Graduate Degree in Sports Performance gained from the University of Bath. Following graduation from university Adam has been working in the food retail industry. This retail career was always a short term option for him as he has always had the desire to make a career for himself in sport.

Due to the continuing growth of the Premier Sport network there was no available franchise territory close by to Adam in Devon. Many people would therefore see this as a reason for not pursuing their desire to take control of their career. Fortunately for Adam and for Premier Sport he demonstrated his entrepreneur spirit and positive attitude by deciding to launch in the Castleford territory in Yorkshire. Yes, Yorkshire is a long way from Devon however there is a logic to why Yorkshire. It just so happens that Adam’s long term girlfriend comes from Castleford and there is a strong tie to the region. It also shows that he is starting with the end in mind and is looking forward to making Yorkshire his home.

The thorough and professional way Adam has conducted himself through the completion of his due diligence and business planning further demonstrates that he’s built the foundations for success over the coming years. Add to this the desire, drive and ambition to be a success he is looking forward to a long and successful career with Premier Sport. We warmly welcome Adam to the network and look forward to supporting him.

What Our Franchisees Say

Before I started with Premier it never entered my head I would even run my own business, let alone three, successfully. I never dreamt I would do the things I now do as daily routines, and couldn't see myself being in this position without the guidance and support I have received. Our projected turnover this year is between £700 - £750k over our three franchises. This has grown steadily over the last few years and is something we are very committed to achieving this year.
