Zoe’s journey began the way it does for many – unexpectedly. One day she had a stable job and a familiar routine. The next, she was told she was being made redundant.
“At first, it was a blow,” she recalls. “I had no backup plan. I just knew I didn’t want to go back into a 9-to-5 where someone else dictated my schedule.”
With three children to care for, Zoe needed income, but also flexibility. More importantly, she wanted purpose. “I wanted to build something of my own, something future-proof,” she explains.
Zoe stumbled across a travel franchise opportunity that offered something different: full training, startup support, and the ability to work from anywhere.
The idea of launching a travel business without any previous experience sounded daunting – until she realised The Travel Franchise had all the systems and support in place.
“I didn’t need to be a travel expert,” Zoe says. “I just needed passion, commitment, and the right guidance. The franchise took care of the rest.”
Through a 5-day live virtual training bootcamp, 1-to-1 mentoring, and access to hundreds of trusted travel partners, Zoe quickly transformed from beginner to business owner.
What stood out most to Zoe about The Travel Franchise was the community. She was matched with a Business Development Manager who offered hands-on support, alongside a wider network of consultants and mentors.
“There was always someone there to help – whether I had a question about a supplier, social media, or how to close a booking,” she says. “I never felt like I was doing it alone.”
Her confidence grew quickly. She learned how to build her brand, find customers, and promote offers online. With marketing resources, video tools, and a responsive operations team behind her, Zoe could focus on what mattered most: serving her clients and growing her income.
Today, Zoe runs her own successful travel business from home. She works around school runs, sports days, and family holidays. She’s building a brand she’s proud of, creating dream holidays for others while enjoying more freedom herself.
“It’s empowering. I choose when I work, how I work, and I’m in control of my future for the first time.”
Financially, Zoe has already exceeded the income she earned in her previous role – and she’s just getting started.
“If you're feeling stuck or scared after redundancy, just know there are other paths. I turned my setback into a business I love. You can too.”
If you’ve been made redundant, or you’re just ready to take control of your career, a travel franchise might offer the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
