"I desperately wanted to find a more child friendly career, where I could still work hard but where I was in charge...
Being an Editor for Raring2go! has been the best thing ever for me and my family. Having had my two children I knew I didn’t want to go back into the 9-5 rut but I also knew that I wanted to do something to challenge me as I’d always worked in fairly highly-pressurised environments and wanted that buzz back!
I hadn’t considered working for myself until I stumbled upon Raring2go! and despite being a bit scared of the prospect of “going solo” the more I thought about it the more me and my husband recognised it ticked all the boxes we were looking for.
8 years later and I wouldn’t change a thing… I LOVE what I do, no two days are the same and I really enjoy all aspects of life as an Editor. It’s been a perfect fit for our crazy family and has allowed me to be there for the children every step of the way. Sure, there are days that are tougher than others and it is hard work (you must be super-organised to make every second count) but isn’t anything worthwhile hard work?
The thing that makes Raring2go! stand out from the crowd is the network of Editors – you may be self-employed but you’re never alone, as the network have your back every step of the way. Here’s to another 8 years!"

I have never felt the value of being in a team more than in these last few months. Although I am my own boss, the support of our franchisor during lockdown, has been second to none. That support has seen regular and honest communication; training; practical advice; forward planning; and pulling together all editors to share ideas on how best to support customers and motivate each other.Sally Walters, Editor Raring2go! – Kidderminster & Stourbridge
