Chantal Craig brings 5* rated creative workshops for adults, kids classes, parties and events to Hitchin, Letchworth and Stotfold.
Chantal is a trained beauty therapist and was working in the children's activity sector running classes. With an absolute passion for crafting and creating she thought she'd love to run her own inspiring franchise, and with two young children she wanted the flexibility to work around her family whilst still enjoying a fulfilling career. She now runs her own award-winning Creation Station franchise providing fun, creative art and craft classes, after-school clubs, parties and events for all ages in the Hitchin, Letchworth and Stotfold area.
We asked Chantal to share why she loved providing creative activities in her community- this is what she said...
"As a mum to two young children I wanted the flexibility to work around them, and be able to spend as much time with them as I can. It's lovely being able to go to all the school plays and do the school run every day whilst at the same time having a fulfilling career."
"I love working with children and am a very keen crafter, so it seemed a natural fit for me. The reason that I chose a franchise rather than to set something up myself was so I had all the support that I needed. The success rate is so much higher in the first year with the support of a franchise behind you. Starting your own business is never easy, but having the right type of help and support definitely eases the pressure a little."
"I have had such a lovely reaction since starting my business and met the most wonderful families. It's fantastic that so many families keep coming back to my craft classes in Hitchin each term, which to me is the biggest compliment possible. In my pre-school classes, the children's faces light up when I open the magic box, and when they show me their finished art work. They are so proud of themselves and I am very touched that I have helped them to feel like that."
"Really excited! I can't wait to continue building my already very popular party business (16 parties already in the first 3 months of this year!), develop more partnerships with locals businesses, and I will be launching 'Create Club' after school clubs in Hitchin and Letchworth schools next year once my youngest is in school."
