Apollo Blinds is launching a series of new online Discover Apollo events for prospective franchisees who want to know more about running their own businesses as part of the UK’s largest window blinds franchise network.
The company is introducing a new online format of its pre-lockdown factory tour events programme, where it invited people to visit its Glasgow-based HQ to meet the team and see its manufacturing facilities.
Discover Apollo events will take place every month and will give prospective investors a clear idea of what’s involved with running a franchise selling and installing the UK’s widest selection of superior-quality made-to-measure blinds, shutters, curtains and awnings.
Apollo Blinds’ Business Development Director Matt Thomas said that the company – which was established in 1972 and has more than 50 franchises across the UK – has adapted so that it can meet demand from people who have expressed strong interest in the franchise opportunity.
“Like a lot of other businesses, we have had to adapt our operations and service delivery for our franchise network to ensure that they can trade efficiently and prosperously in the new post-lockdown world. This has worked extremely well, with strong sales over the summer period,” said Matt.
“We’ve left no stone unturned, and we have moved our Discover Apollo events online so that we can still engage with people who are keen to know more about the potential of running an Apollo Blinds franchise.
“Given that we are based in Glasgow, it was always a strong expression of interest from people who made the journey to come to meet us and see the scale of our manufacturing capabilities – we’ve tried to capture as much of that as possible in our new online format.
“We’re very excited about the new Discover Apollo events and hope that prospective franchisees will feel that they are very beneficial in helping them to make an informed decision about whether Apollo Blinds is right for them.”
Matt added: “We’ll be running an event each month and have a structured framework for the events, but the beauty is that we can easily use the technology to set up other meetings if there’s anything anyone wants to look at in more depth.”
I chose Apollo for its wide range of quality products and support structure. I have access to some products that none of my local competitors have. The business is as profitable as you want it to be. I am now making a better living than I ever have, and the best thing is that I can choose how much work I take on.. It may not make me a millionaire, but I have a great work–life balance.Andrew Micklewhite from Apollo Blinds Cardiff
A franchise was the perfect platform for me because I have access to products that none of my competitors have. This has allowed me to achieve high order values because I’m selling and installing high-quality products. I simply couldn’t have afforded to go it alone and set up my own blinds business from scratch.Peter Stephen from Apollo Blinds Newcastle & Tyneside
No two days have ever been the same in the 24 years I have been with Apollo Blinds, and that is why I’m still as passionate about it as I was when I first started. The best part of what I do is helping my customers to find the right blinds for them. I love going into customers’ houses and making recommendations and then seeing the thrill on their faces when their blinds are installed.Amanda Hannan from Apollo Blinds Glasgow Shawlands
