ASC Finance for Business is a broker franchise network consisting of 17 offices across the UK, including its newest base in Wales.
Having supported SMEs for over 50 years, taking the complexity away from securing finance for different sectors, ASC confirmed this week that its Welsh office will be run by Ben Davidson.
Davidson has much experience in business acquisition and business sales, along with exposure dealing with large private equity firms.
Previously Ben grew a company by 230% in a 3-year period, eventually operating with close to 200 staff working from 5 offices.
ASC Wales’ Director is also experienced at developing and sustaining relationships with a wide range of commercial lending institutions including private investors.
Ben qualified as an IFA and investment advisor at 21 years of age, one of the youngest in the South-West of England at the time.
Davidson said: “I’m delighted to head up the office for ASC in Wales. ASC gives us an incredible foundation to build our new office on, with a culture of customer excellence and a no-nonsense approach to getting the job done for our clients.
“There is significant commercial activity in Wales, which continues to gain momentum. We have already booked appointments with clients before the doors have opened.”
Ben added: “We don’t have call centres and our clients are dealt with by professional commercial brokers with our Welsh office phone lines open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.’

I joined ASC in 1990, first with just the Cornwall area, and then adding Devon as the opportunities became very quickly evident. During this time, I have seen many competitors come and go, to the point where our market expertise is unrivalled. I look forward to the next ten years.Conrad Robins - ASC Regional Director, Cornwall and Devon
I left a senior position in a major building society because I wanted to take responsibility for my own business. Being part of ASC gives me the rewards for my own efforts and also the support from being part of a team.Ian Morgan - ASC Regional Director Bristol, Somerset and Wiltshire
I actually found ASC whilst researching the idea of finding financial support for starting my own business and then quickly realised the ASC model was exactly the type of business I would enjoy running and with ASC I didn’t have all the heavy lifting involved in setting the business up, it was all there ready to go.Alison Hunter - ASC Regional Director, Scotland
