Established since 1979, Business Partnership is one of the UK's leading independent business broker networks with vast experience in advising owners on the sale of their businesses.
Business brokers support SME business owners through the sale of their business. The role encompasses initial valuation, advertising, vetting potential buyers and negotiating deals. Business brokers then work closely with specialist solicitors, accountants and others to ensure a sale completes.
Business Partnership Franchisees come from a wide variety of backgrounds like finance, accountancy, engineering, marketing, wholesale and the care sector. Some have owned and sold their own businesses. Others have not.
The Business Partnership does not have a tick-box of formal qualifications. They recruit on aspects of personality and past business credibility. Their most successful recruits demonstrate some of the following attributes;
Business sales are the backbone of the broker’s role. Once you’ve mastered these there are services that offer additional income streams. These include paid valuation work, acquisition searches and, once qualified, work as a certified Value Builder coach.
Where Business Partnership is unique is that the board of directors have all operated as franchisees. This means they are aware of the changing needs of clients, the challenges of the market as well as the hands on day to day work necessary to deliver the service.
You can’t run a modern business without flexibility and Business Partnership have the systems to enable that. They provide:
The franchise fee is £25,000. Unlike other franchises, Business Partnership do not charge a levy or royalty on your earnings. Their costs are fixed and transparent. What you earn on top of this is yours to keep.
As a full member of the BFA, the verified break even should be within the first half year and you should be earning a minimum of £80,000 by the end of year 2 and over £100,000 after that……if you put the work in and follow the model.
Once trained, how your target your business is entirely up to you. Some offices focus on high street business sales. Some focus on engineering and manufacturing. Some focus on size, looking for £1m+ turnover businesses. Some prefer not to specialise at all.
How you focus your business will be determined by your past business experiences, where your network is strong and by what sectors give you most pleasure to work in. You don’t get that level of flexibility with many franchises, so why not register your interest now!
