Aspray’s franchising guru – director Andrea Loasby - has had her skills in mentoring recognised at the highest level, with a shortlisting in the Women in Insurance Awards 2019 category of ‘Mentor of the Year’.
This is the second consecutive year that loss assessing franchise specialist, Andrea, has been recognised in these awards, having been named as a ‘Woman of Influence’ in 2018. This is quite an achievement in an award scheme that, as its backer, Insurance Business magazine, says, “inspires the women who make insurance great.”
Andrea is the sole representative of the loss assessing sector within the nominees. Some of the biggest UK insurance companies are represented, making Andrea’s achievement phenomenal, especially as organisers were “inundated with nominations”. So, what made Andrea stand out from the others?
Her skills in mentoring others have never gone unnoticed at Aspray Franchise, which is one reason colleagues were keen to nominate her. But it was probably the fact that she not only inspires head office employees, but also their network of loss assessors in the field, who are running property damage claims management franchise territories across the UK, that made her nomination different.
Andrea is always on hand to guide franchisees who are starting property damage insurance claims management businesses with Aspray’s support. This is from their initial franchise purchase, right through to territory agreement renewal or territory sale.
Added to this, she is also the co-author of a book on how to establish a franchise network, written in conjunction with Aspray’s managing director, James Whittle. This willingness to generously share her franchising knowledge and expertise, may have been another reason for her shortlisting.

I shall continue to support any franchisee who needs my help, whether they are taking their first steps in their territory or needing reassurance or support later in their franchise journey.”
