Wrapping up business!

16th June 2008 - Raccoon – Effective Vehicle Branding

Wrapping up business!

I’ve already got leads coming in from a wide range of enterprises in the Thames Valley area – everything from courier companies and marketing agencies to electricians and builders wanting to spruce up their image and generate more business and revenue" -

Ex-Microsoft business development manager, Jason Alexis, this year decided to wrap up his corporate day job and re-brand his life with a Raccoon vehicle-wrapping outfit. Based in Maidenhead, and servicing the entire Thames Valley region, the 41-year-old invested in his own vehicle-wrapping franchise just in time to show it off at the recent Ideal Business Show in Newbury.

Visitors wowed at the Raccoon stand included keynote speaker and former Director General of the BBC, Greg Dyke.

Says Alexis: “Seeing Greg at the show was great. He came over to the stand and said how much he liked the branding on our showcase vehicle. The way we apply the graphics, using a vinyl adhesive that can last for several years, means that it’s almost impossible to discern the images from the original chassis. To look at, it’s as though a printed poster has been shrink-wrapped to the exact dimensions of the car – I think that was what really impressed him.”

Research shows that a single graphically rendered vehicle driving around in a built up area gets seen an average 70,000 times a year, a figure, which when scaled up to a fleet, can easily reach seven figures. Because of this Alexis thinks that businesses making the decision to use vehicle-wraps as a means of advertising will benefit from both increased brand awareness, and direct leads, and attendance of the show confirmed that a lot of savvy businessmen and women are already thinking along these lines.

Adds Alexis: “It’s like having a billboard on the road, 24/7. I get business directly from driving around my own branded vehicle. If it works for me, it will work for anybody. I’ve already got leads coming in from a wide range of enterprises in the Thames Valley area – everything from courier companies and marketing agencies to electricians and builders wanting to spruce up their image and generate more business and revenue. The way I see it, if you’ve got a business and you’ve got a vehicle, you may as well make a small investment to ensure that they compliment each other in the best way possible.”
