Sticking with a brand new franchise

2nd July 2008 - Card Line Greetings Ltd

Sticking with a brand new franchise

"“As I have the dreaded school run to do I only work from 9.30 to 2.30pm which means I tend to visit between 6 to 8 customers per day. On a good week this means I sometimes only need to be on the road 3 or 4 days but I earn a very decent living from it.”

Ever wondered why some franchises stick around and some don’t – it’s usually down to whether or not the product’s any good.

Card Line Greetings have just launched a new franchise product which is sure to be around for some time. Purple Peach is a range of stickers designed to decorate cards, books, iPods, computers, mobile phones and all manner of stationery and gadgets. Card Line Greetings offer Purple Peach stickers on consignment to retailers.

Retailing at a very affordable 99p, the stickers are bought in huge numbers by children because that’s what they do, teachers to use as reward stickers and hobbyists who are rising to the increasing demand for hand made greetings cards.

The franchise itself can be run either as a full or part-time business so would be ideally suited to people needing the work-time flexibility to pick the kids up from school or might just want to slot a game of golf in midweek. With initial investment as low as £5,000 earnings of up to £20,000 – £40,000 are easily achievable, and the company will even open your first 50 accounts for you!

Jenny Woodruff was one of the first franchisees operating Purple Peach through consignment: “As I have the dreaded school run to do I only work from 9.30 to 2.30pm which means I tend to visit between 6 to 8 customers per day depending on driving distances and size of customer. On a good week this means I sometimes only need to be on the road 3 or 4 days but I earn a very decent living from it.”
