Two enterprising Swindon Business-mum’s, Victoria Davey and Gina Ganney have joined forces to realise their dream of running their own Keepsake Co Retail Business - selling and producing hand-crafted Baby Keepsakes.
The two women are set to open the doors to their new Shop, at Studley Grange Craft Village, Swindon on Saturday 25th October 2008.
Busy Mum, Victoria, explains the background between this exciting new joint venture. “I had been running my own Keepsake Co Business from home for 12 months. Then after visiting the Studley Grange Craft Village, I immediately realised what a wonderful family-friendly location it would be for a shop - so I started investigating the possibility further.” Victoria adds: “As keen as I was, I knew this would be a full-time commitment. As a busy mum to my two year old daughter, Isabella, I knew I couldn’t do this alone.”
Victoria initially discounted the idea of opening her dream shop, fearing it would prevent her leisure-time with Isabella. But then Victoria received a phone-call from fellow Keepsake Consultant, Gina Ganney. Gina also hoped to open her own shop, but similarly had family-commitments, bringing up her 3 year old son, Cambell.
Gina adds: “Victoria and I both had the same ambition to expand our Keepsake Co Business into retail, but being busy parents, knew that we couldn’t do it alone.” Gina explains: “By joining forces, we have the best of both worlds. We will jointly co-own and manage the shop, working alternate days, enabling us to devote equal time to the Business, whilst spending quality time with our family.”
Victoria and Gina are both fully trained and accredited by The Keepsake Co to produce their full collection of Keepsakes. These include a beautiful range of 3D Casts of Babies hands and feet, Clay Impressions, Raised Impressions, as well as a delightful collection of Silver Jewellery, enabling parents to capture their children’s fingerprints, hand-writing or early artwork in pure fine silver.
