It’s Official – Music Bugs are the best

We are delighted that the success of our young business has been recognised, especially as we have only just started our second year as a national franchise. We had some very stiff competition so are over the moon.” - Claire Bennett, Music Bugs
Parents have a tough job these days. All parents know they need to help their children develop but they are faced with so many classes to take their pre-schoolers to it is difficult to work out which ones to go to and which ones are good. Luckily, a national award scheme has narrowed the choice by announcing its 2008 winners of the best pre-schooler classes in the country.
Growing up should be fun and that is exactly what the 800 children each week have when they attend their Music Bugs® class – winner of the UK’s Best Music Class 2008 award from What’s On 4 Little Ones.
Claire Bennett, Managing Director of Music Bugs®, says: “We currently hold 60 music and singing classes for the under 5’s each week and this number is steadily increasing. We are delighted that the success of our young business has been recognised, especially as we have only just started our second year as a national franchise. We had some very stiff competition so are over the moon.”
Music Bugs® classes focus on letting children as young as 6 months of age develop and grow in a gently structured and play-based environment. The 40-minute sessions focus on several key areas of development including language development, early numeracy skills, social skills and physical development. Large selections of brightly coloured and fun props are introduced into each session to encourage children to engage and interact with their peers.
Claire Bennett says: “I am so proud to have scooped this award despite being at such an early stage in the growth of our franchise network. Everyone involved in our classes, whether it’s the franchisee, class leaders, parents or the children, all contribute in such a positive way. This award has convinced me even more that we are providing a service that is valued and I am eager to see our franchise network expand in 2008."
The first franchise was launched in Feb 2007 in Wiltshire and the Company has since expanded with 9 additional franchisees and more on the way. Exclusive franchise territories are now available throughout the UK. Classes are currently held in Wiltshire, Avon, Lincolnshire, London, Warwickshire, West Yorkshire, Kent, Newcastle and East Yorkshire with further territories due to be announced shortly.
