A leading oven valeting firm in West Yorkshire is anticipating further growth and job creation after reporting a 25% rise in bookings from the previous year.
Ovenu West Yorkshire, which serves Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Leeds and Wakefield, valeted 2,450 ovens in 2015 compared to 1,950 in 2014.
The firm also bucked the trend in its traditionally quietest period of the year, during January and February, following the busy Christmas period, with a 17.5% increase in bookings compared to the same time as last year.
As a result, Richard Greenwood, owner of Ovenu West Yorkshire, is keen to add another member of staff to his workforce, which currently consists of six full-time sub-contractors.
Richard Greenwood said:
"It has been a fantastic start to the year, despite what is typically a quiet period for the business straight after the hectic Christmas holidays. This all bodes well for the remainder of the year, which is shaping up to be another successful one, on the back of continued year-on-year growth.
“Demand for our services remains strong and we are continually receiving work on the back of customer referrals, not to mention enquiries leading up to spring clean season. As a result, in the coming months, I am hoping to be in a position to create another role to support our ongoing expansion in the region."
“We now have six members of staff and my aspiration is to reach double figures in the next couple of years, which is all part of my ambitious growth plans for the firm.”
Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.
Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu, said:
"Richard’s business has gone from strength to strength, and it looks as though he is set for another positive year, with continued growth. I would like to wish him all the very best for the future."
The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
