A day-in-the-life of an ORCA Franchisee.

No one can explain what it's like to run an ORCA Franchise better than a Franchisee out in the field. I’m delighted that our Bicester Franchisee, Mark Ford-Langstaff, has been kind enough talk us through his typical day, so that you can see what it’s really like to be an ORCA Website Consultant.

"Morning guys, just thought I’d share with you all what I got up to last Friday (Dec 11th) – enjoy!

7:00 - Local Business Association breakfast club: got given a lead for a local bike shop - will follow-up Monday.

9:00 - Jackie (from Head office) called me to say a client I seeded 3 months ago wanted a chat – remember it’s never a no, it’s a not now! It must have suddenly clicked that their current site wasn’t doing them justice and they wanted me to come in and show them just what they could do online – meeting booked for 23rd Dec!

10:00 - Met with a potential client who manufactures badges and labels. Turned out I knew his daughter as she went to the same school my children go to. Great connection and suddenly we were having a great conversation about how ORCA could help him grow his business – 2nd meeting booked for mid January to present our website designs to him!

12:30 – Nominet (The Internet’s Governing body here in the UK) contacted me to say they have fixed a client’s domain name issue. Promptly phoned the client to let them know – needless-to-say they were delighted!

13:00 – Had a working lunch with a peanut butter and cucumber sandwich as a reward for a great morning! My favourite; don't mock it just try it!

13:30 Kids came home from school, as it was the last day of term - moved rooms for a bit of peace and quiet whilst I was researching for the latest batch of seed letters! Turned out that the ‘badge-making‘ client I met with this morning is the MD of another local business, which has four websites that need updating. Really building a name for myself here in Bicester – looks like it’s going to be a great January!

14:00 - Prepared for a 3rd meeting on Monday with a client whose website we’ve just built – the site looks fantastic BTW!

15:00 - Prepared for a 5:30 meeting with an Indian Restaurant that is looking for a website in the New Year.

16:00 – Had a cup of tea whilst doing some research for Monday’s seed letters - 3 great leads found already!

17:30 - Met with the Indian restaurant owner. He was looking to complete refurbish the place in January and wanted a new website to reflect his name and style. He was really impressed with ORCA and loved our new vouchers function as well. Agreed to meet again mid-January to get the project started. (It just keeps getting better and better!)

19:00 - Updated the Virtual Office and ate fish & chips with the family. Opened a bottle of beer, smiled and relaxed – It’s been a great day, wonder what next week will bring?
