Franchisees Helen and Melanie find business success in YogaBugs Franchise

YogaBugs franchisees enjoy own business success!

4th November 2008 - YogaBugs

Helen Crowdey

YogaBugs Franchisee, London

Helen Crowdey, YogaBugs FranchiseeYogaBugs teacher, Helen Crowdey is now responsible for co-ordinating classes, parties and events in the London Central West territory having invested in the franchise scheme.

Helen Crowdey says: “As a qualified YogaBugs and Yoga’d Up teacher, I have seen first hand how the classes benefit the children who take part. I am really delighted to take on the challenge of being a YogaBugs franchisee. Although I taught numerous classes, as a single mum and therefore sole income, I needed to teach more but was unable to do so in the hours I had available to work. This was really frustrating as I knew there was the demand for more classes as I was frequently approached and had to turn down new work.

“The YogaBugs franchise seemed a natural step for me to take in order that I could continue to work in the industry I love and earn a living. I was already referring work onto other YogaBugs teachers who didn’t have enough work or didn’t know how to generate new classes but now the franchise makes this mutually beneficial. I am very confident that the franchise network will grow and we will be able to continue to improve the lives of many children in London Central West through the practice of yoga.”

Helen’s first promotional activity as a Franchisee was attending the Innocent Village Fete in Regents Park at the end of last year. Over 30,000 people attended the event and free YogaBugs & Yoga’d Up classes were offered to many of the children attending. Parents in one area who visited the stand at the Innocent event had been looking for a class for their children for some time. They have since been gathered together and a venue has been hired and a new local class arranged.

The Innocent event also attracted enquiries from adults who were interested in embarking on the YogaBugs teacher training programme to ultimately join the London Central West network.

“My husband works for himself and I see the kind of lifestyle that he has. He is not answerable to anyone, doesn’t start too early and can take holidays when he wants to take them. Until recently I was a teacher and my life seemed to be the complete opposite on a very average income.

I had already trained as a YogaBugs and Yoga’d Up Teacher previously and decided to take the franchise in my region because I saw that there was a demand for the classes as I’d had to turn work away and it seemed the perfect answer to give me a business, and meet demand by employing other teachers to take the excess classes and build further opportunities.

My career is now in my hands and when we do decide to start a family, we both felt the franchise would be advantageous.”
