What made you change careers?
‘I worked as an English teacher in a secondary school for 10 years before having my little girl and, although I enjoyed it, the hours weren’t as flexible as I thought they would be. When I had to miss my daughter’s first birthday because of work, I realised it was time for a change.’

Was it difficult to set your business up?

What sort of hours do you work?
‘I work three full days a week, but when Eva goes to school I can imagine that I’ll work fewer hours over four or five days. I can also change my hours to fit around holidays or special occasions. That’s the beauty of Raring2go! it fits around your life.’
How has your life improved?
‘The best thing is that I can spend a lot more time with my family. Also, I find work very fulfilling, as I can set my own targets and see tangible results.’
What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking of joining Raring2go!?
‘Just go for it! Don’t be frightened to ask for help – it’s always available. Remember that you’re already an expert on activities for children in your area, and the more passion you have for the product, the easier it will be.’
