Mike Lane Has Sartorial Elegance Packaged Up With Suit the City

25th August 2017

Mike Lane tells us that the beauty of the Suit the City franchise is that there is so much you can learn and the potential to earn is enormous.

Mike Lane runs his Suit the City franchise in Bath.

Suit the City - Mike LaneI was the managing director of a multimillion pound packaging business for 8 years which was profitable but mostly routine. When we sold our business, I wanted to start a business that played to my individual strengths and my love of sartorial elegance.

I’ve always enjoyed beautiful clothes, especially suits, and I especially wanted a franchise that was people focussed. After much research, Suit the City ticked all the boxes for me. Because our clothing is bespoke and offers a multitude of choices, there are plenty of professional clients who appreciate our five-star service.

A Social Network

The social side of business is one of the key points for me, I’ve always enjoyed being in the company of a diverse range of people, and by socialising I bring in clients for my business. As you might have surmised, I’m a consultant, not a tailor. That means the franchise is open to everyone who enjoys meeting people and selling.

No Limits

When I moved from London to Somerset, I wanted a business that I could run locally but also make the most of my London contacts. I have a small studio in Bath city centre which is convenient for my local clients, but unlike most franchises which limit you by area, my Suit the City franchise allows me to work anywhere through my network. So, wherever I am, when I am introduced to a new prospective client, I can offer my service to them.

The beauty of this franchise is that there is so much you can learn and the potential to earn is enormous.
