Paul Wood started with Premier Sport in 2014

26th February 2016

Paul Wood first made contact with Premier Sport in March 2014 and now operates in the Kingston on Thames territory.

Paul first made contact with Premier Sport in March 2014 and subsequently attended a discovery day at the end of March. Paul is married and lives in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. He will be operating in the Kingston on Thames territory.

Premier Sport - Paul WoodAfter 25 years working for one of the world’s best known premium golfing brands, Paul decided to take control and seek a career change. He had achieved sales success at Ping by offering over 130 golf professionals and retail outlets superior service and providing a professional and consultative approach.

It was Paul’s familiarity with presenting a premium product combined with his natural sporting passion along with his parents both being school teachers that he became interested in Premier Sport.

It quickly became apparent that Premier Sport offered everything that Paul was seeking in terms of career change and business opportunity. He’s a county tennis player and is a fully qualified LTA tennis coach. He’s also been involved in the golfing industry (he plays off a single handicap). It is worth noting that whilst Paul was undertaking his due diligence in Premier Sport he was also attending job interviews to ensure that he was 100% committed on running his own business. This proved a positive exercise as it fully confirmed that he did not want to go back into corporate life but take control and run his own children’s activity business.

Paul had a busy few months ahead of him as he balanced launching his Premier Sport business with moving house into the franchise territory. The end result was worth it as Paul and his wife will be able to enjoy their desired work life balance.

What Our Franchisees Say

Before I started with Premier it never entered my head I would even run my own business, let alone three, successfully. I never dreamt I would do the things I now do as daily routines, and couldn't see myself being in this position without the guidance and support I have received. Our projected turnover this year is between £700 - £750k over our three franchises. This has grown steadily over the last few years and is something we are very committed to achieving this year.
