Bright and Beautiful Franchise

Introducing Lucie Edwards from Bright and Beautiful

18th July 2014

Stevenage mum, Lucie Edwards, swaps commuting for cleaning with Bright and Beautiful.

Mum of two Lucie Edwards is one of four franchisees who have recently set up their own Bright & Beautiful businesses, bringing eco and family friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing services to their home towns.

Bright and Beautiful - Lucie EdwardsLucie, who lives in Stevenage, had worked for 10 years in financial services in London before being made redundant after having her youngest son last year. As a busy mum of two, Lucie needed a job that would enable her to work around husband Gareth, nine month old Thomas and five year old Rhys, a budding young singer and actor, who will be appearing in a new comedy on BBC3 soon.

Wanting to be her own boss and have a family friendly career, Lucie decided to opt out of the rat race and set up her own company. Bright and Beautiful is a domestic cleaning franchise business aimed at helping working women and Lucie, 32, is now running her own team of professional housekeepers and managing her clients’ homes with Bright & Beautiful, the new and improved face of domestic homecare.

Lucie comments:

"Being made redundant sometimes feels like it was the best thing to happen to me! Starting my own franchise business isn’t something I had really considered before but, like many women, I have lots of skills to offer, am great at building relationships with people and want to work but also have time for my family."

Lucie was also inspired to launch her franchise of Bright & Beautiful after discovering that a million more people are employing a cleaner compared with a decade ago, as increasingly busy workers decide they need to pay for domestic help (source: 1 July 2011). The UK domestic cleaning sector has also grown by 91% in the last three years, which is largely attributed to the recession and more women going back to work, longer working days and busier single professionals.

Bright & Beautiful is looking for franchise owners who have an ethical approach, a positive attitude and the drive to make their business a success. Benefits of a Bright & Beautiful franchise include:

  • 100 per cent repeat business.
  • Stable income with positive cash flow.
  • Rapid return on investment.
  • Ethical franchise business.
  • Flexible work/life balance.
  • World class training and support.
  • Cutting edge systems.
  • Contemporary 21st century brand.
  • Eco-friendly, non-toxic products.
  • Comprehensive start-up pack.
  • Low cost investment of £15,995 (plus VAT) - no hidden extras.

"This is a business about making money and enhancing quality of life"
