Nottingham Mum becomes Queen Of Clean with Bright and Beautiful

8th October 2012

M

Mum of two Sarah Cox knows a thing or two about juggling career and family and will be putting her many skills to a very different test by launching her own Bright and Beautiful cleaning business caring for the homes and families of Nottingham.

Bright and Beautiful - Sarah CoxAs a former Vice President of Bank of America Sarah, 39, managed a budget of £20 million and 1000 people through 11 suppliers. Now Sarah is aiming to make Nottingham Bright and Beautiful with new cleaning business

As mum to Monty, now 5 and Ozzy, 3, Sarah knows only too well the pressures of managing a high-pressured job and a family. After a company takeover, Sarah was offered redundancy and has spent the past three years being a full time mum to her two boys.

Keen to return to work, Sarah decided to take the plunge and set up her own family friendly business. She will now be running her own team of professional housekeepers and managing her clients’ homes with Bright and Beautiful, the new and improved face of domestic homecare that is delivering eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing.

Sarah says: "Having been both a full time working mum and a full time stay at home mum I know that both can be just as exhausting in different ways! Our lives at home and at work have never been busier and it is so important to have the right help to keep things ticking over."

"Like many women I wanted to go back to work but didn’t want to return to a corporate world that can be inflexible for working mums so I decided to set up my own business. At a time when the number of unemployed women is the highest it has ever been, it makes me very proud to be employing other local women who may have been through the same thing."

Sarah was inspired to launch her franchise of Bright and Beautiful after discovering that a million more people are employing a cleaner compared with a decade ago, as increasingly busy workers decide they need to pay for domestic help (source: thetelegraph.co.uk 1 July 2011). The UK domestic cleaning sector has also grown by 91% in the last three years, which is largely attributed to the recession and more women going back to work, longer working days and busier single professionals.

Bright and Beautiful supports and empowers women both in the UK and overseas – clients who need their homes managed and don’t want to spend hours on housework; the team who have a great working environment and can earn a good income that fits within school hours and the impoverished families that the company sponsors overseas.
