Following the birth of her twins, Hayley Sugden wanted to go back to work and The Creation Station franchise provided everything she wanted.
Hayley Sugden wanted to go back to work after her twins were born and had been searching for a business opportunity that wouldn’t compromise her family values. The Creation Station franchise is providing everything she wanted.
For two years before becoming a mum Hayley ran her own small jewellery making business. For both Hayley and her husband the thought of investing in a bigger venture was appealing but it never seemed the right time. Then, with two children to support, they decided to embark on a serious search of business opportunities.
Hayley said: “When we found The Creation Station it really captured our attention. It looked so much fun and it incorporated all of the things we needed and were looking for in a business. I wanted a business with great potential that would be flexible enough to give me time with my family.
“We really did our research before taking the plunge and investing in the franchise. We needed to know that it would be a viable business option in our local area before committing our savings to the project. We prepared a full business plan and had great advice from The Creation Station Head Office. It’s comforting to know that I have their support. With their help I worked out a marketing plan and publicised the business prior to the launch date. This really paid dividends.
“Even though I had generated a lot of interest I was still very nervous as the launch got nearer. After the first few sessions my confidence really grew and I overcame the nerves. I have great people coming along to the sessions and they make it so worthwhile. My regulars love the group and give me great feedback. Nearly everyone that attends a trial session signs up for the rest of the term.
“Running a Creation Station franchise is so rewarding. I get so much out of the sessions and love seeing how the children use the various arty materials and colours. I have also arranged partnership sessions with farm parks, children’s centres and a local school. They pay me to bring The Creation Station to their venue.
“It is still early days but I would like to continue to build the business and possibly take on a member of staff. I feel really excited and positive and will continue to work hard to ensure my business is a great success. It’s great to finally be working in a job I love.”
